Antelope !

I have a special fondness for antelope hunting. It’s generally not that cold,  you don’t have to get up at 3 AM, and you can hunt them all day long!  It’s a fun hunt with others and you generally see a lot of game, even if its two miles away! Plus I think that antelope, properly handled, is the best game meat there is.  We like to set up the wall tent on the prairie, bring lots of good food and drink and have a fun time. The greatest challenge can be the length of the shots sometimes required to harvest them. Antelope learn to hang out in the middle of the flattest country they can find and it can be difficult to get within 400 yards, especially if there is a some hunting pressure. Studying the country and developing a  strategy for the stalk is one of the fun parts of antelope hunting.

Below are just a few pics from the last few years of antelope hunts..
